The Course

Hole 1 Par 4    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        488 yards        459 yards        377 yards

Cherry Oaks opening hole is a test to golfers of all skill levels.

It is the hardest hole on the course playing as a long par four, 488 yards from the back tees.

This hole requires both length and accuracy.  Your fairway wood or long iron approaches

a putting surface that slopes back to front.  Par here will be earned!

Hole 2 Par 3    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        195 yards        174 yards        131 yards

This first of four par three’s and by far the hardest

of the four playing at 195 yards from the back tees.

The green is protected by a pond to the left

and behind the green with trees surrounding the water’s edge.

However, a good tee shot will provide a good

scoring opportunity on this relatively flat putting surface.

Hole 3 Par 4    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        463 yards        437 yards        376 yards

A drive to the right center of the fairway is ideal for this

demanding par four as a pond circles around the left side

of the hole guarded by trees.  Cutting the corner is all risk or reward

on this hole.  Your second or approach shot comes into a

large slightly elevated green sloping severely back to front.

A missed shot here will provide for a tricky “up and down” for any golfer.

Hole 4 Par 5    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        516 yards        475 yards        437 yards

Long hitters can get “home” in two shots on this downwind,

dogleg right par five.  Shorter hitters will want to play their

second shot down the left side of the fairway to open up

the approach shot to the green, guarded by trees on the

left and right.  Be sure to avoid the creek running through

the trees on both sides of the hole.  Two good shots here should

put you in great shape to walk away with a good score.

Hole 5 Par 4    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        311 yards        263 yards        187 yards

A short straightaway par four that is reachable by some golfers,

playing at only 263 yards from the middle tees. This par four is however

surrounded by trouble.  Out of bounds runs the length of the hole

on the left and behind the green, with trees aligning both sides

of the hole right from the tee box.  A good drive here should put you in

position for an easy second shot.

Hole 6 Par 4    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        397 yards        365 yards        303 yards

Hole number six is par four requiring two good shots.

Out of bounds runs the length of the hole on the left.

This hole also features a creek running along the left

rough guarded by trees that come into play from the tee

box and a second grove of trees forcing an accurate shot

into the green.  Hitting the fairway here is the best route to go for a good score.

Hole 7 Par 3    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        153 yards        126 yards        96 yards

The second of the par three’s playing at 153 yards

from the back tees.  Be careful here, an array shot can

find trouble in all directions.  Out of bounds runs along

the left and a pond sits to the right of the hole.

A shot too hard is sure to find the native grass behind the green.

Keep a careful on the pin location as the green has

many ridges and severe slopes running away from the hole.

Hole 8 Par 4    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        351 yards        324 yards        287 yards

A classic par four.  A long iron or fairway wood off the

tee demands accuracy to the fairway.  A creek extending

off a pond runs through the fairway preventing most

golfers from hitting driver here.  Be sure to avoid hitting

left as a pond and out of bounds run the length of the hole.

The prevailing winds helps you here with distance,

but makes holding the green a difficult task for any golfer.

Hole 9 Par 5    Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        560 yards        539 yards        486 yards

A great closing hole for the front nine.  It is a long par

five that requires both length and accuracy.  Be sure to

avoid hitting right where a creek surrounded by trees

runs almost the length of hole.  Be careful with your approach

shot, missing the green can provide for a tricky

“up and down” as the green slopes front to back.

Hole 10 Par 5  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        569 yards        523 yards        463 yards

Hole number ten makes for a challenge hole being

back to back par fives.  A long straightaway par five with

relatively no trouble.  Two or three good shots here and

you should provide yourself with an excellent chance

at birdie or par on this flat putting surface.

Hole 11 Par 3  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        145 yards        137 yards        118 yards

Although it is a short par three playing at 145 yards,

hitting the green here is a must.  Out of bounds surrounds

the hole to the left and behind the green.  Hitting the

green here will give you an excellent chance at birdie on this flat putting surface.

Hole 12 Par 4  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        396 yards        362 yards        315 yards

A short par four that requires a tee shot in the fairway

for an easy approach into the green.  A pond comes

into play on the left from the tee box and several grassy

mounds guard the fairway the remainder of the hole making

a missed tee shot face a difficult shot into the green.  Be

careful not to go long of the green as a small ponds sits behind the hole.

Hole 13 Par 4  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        382 yards        356 yards        284 yards

A difficult par four for any golfer.  Although inviting from

the tee box for long hitters, it is a difficult shot to cut

the corner of the pond that runs the length of the hole

on the left.  Be sure to avoid the native grass that sits

just beyond the fairway on the right side of the hole.

Hitting the green here is a must as you come into one of Cherry Oaks most difficult greens.

Hole 14 Par 3  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        126 yards        110 yards        99 yards

The shortest of the par three’s here at Cherry Oaks playing

only 126 yards form the back tees.  A tee shot on the

green will give golfers a good opportunity to get a good

score.  Avoid hitting left where out of bounds runs the length

of the hole and continues back around behind the green.

Hole 15 Par 4  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        432 yards        409 yards        363 yards

This long par four requires two good shots for golfers

to reach the green.  Out of bounds runs the length of

the hole on the left and watch out for the pond that

sits short and right of the green.  Par is a good score here.

Hole 16 Par 4  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        335 yards        305 yards        265 yards

Although a short par playing at 305 yards from the middle

tees, this hole demands a straight tee shot.  Out of bounds

runs the length of the hole on the left and a pond runs the

length of the hole on the right.  A good tee shot here

will give golfers a great chance at a good score.

Hole 17 Par 5  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        540 yards        512 yards        446 yards

The last of the par five’s here at Cherry Oaks, playing

at 540 yards from the back tees.  This hole requires two

long and accurate shots to put you in position to reach

an accessible green.  Two large ponds sit to the right of

the hole.  Be sure to stay left on your second shot as

the second pond comes into play on the right side

of the fairway.  A good test for any golfer’s accuracy.

Hole 18 Par 4  Blue Tees        White Tees      Red Tees

                        432 yards        387 yards        352 yards

This hole is a test for golfers of any “skill.”  It is a long

straightaway par four requiring two accurate shots to hit

this large undulated green.  A missed shot here will give

you a tricky chip as the green slopes away from the hole in many directions.
